After reviewing the tracks I've decided that because of his accurate bomb run even though badly damaged that Ensign Neillip is to be awarded the USN Distinguished Flying Cross for his efforts. Well done

Serves me right for flying an SBD like a Zero:FI:Conman wrote:Pike:FI:Sneaky_Russian wrote:Who shot my fuel tanks full of holes? (let me guess..)

If he can mistake a P38 for a Zero, you had no chance in an SBD. Hell, he could probably shoot down his own rear gunner!:FI:Sneaky_Russian wrote:Serves me right for flying an SBD like a Zero:FI:Conman wrote:Pike:FI:Sneaky_Russian wrote:Who shot my fuel tanks full of holes? (let me guess..)

I'm in the process of memorising all the virtual medals you boys award yourselves.
The hope is I will recognise everyone by their bling status at Duxford......thats presuming you can manage to transport the medal horde to the airshow of course. I believe you can buy ex-Soviet generals tunics on the internet that have the sewing fortitude to cope.

Re: Guadelcanal Campaign Stats
Well, I'm getting my own web site to show off all the gongs I've been awarded over the years, a banner down the bottom of a post doesn't really do justice to the medals I have been awarded. And Seen as how the fashion seems to be going in the direction that we can now festoon ourselves with awards regardless off merit, how about I get the one for web admin and all the rest I seem to be missing. Oh yes I want me Nazi's ones with swastikas none of this lion head crap, I earned them for shooting down planes and crap like that, not for going on a hunting trip up the WilleyWalla river delta. Am I the only one who thinks this is a bad idea. If this goes on the forum will look like a meeting place for glam tarts and African Generals. On a Practical note who the hell is over seeing this.
(1) Are the awards for current lives (Thing you did since you were last shot down and killed) or are they for you over all achievements.
(2) Whats the criteria for awarding medals (is it based on historical ratings).
(3)If they are based on current lives, who is going to go in week after week and edit them for ever one who flew the missions.
Whats the difficulty level of the missions you basing them on, On the slot map missions we were doing (last year or the year before) all the AI (Japs) were Ace and Veteran because at that stage of the war thats what they were. If you shoot down a few Ace's are they worth more the a handful of rookies?.
(4)Do we get some gongs for Rise of Flight and Lock On, because I kill a lot of baddies in them game's also, and I also play them with other members of the the :FI: (And of this crap is allowed to proceed I can see that number increasing exponentially over the coming weeks).
Anyhow I'm no fashion critic so I guess ye can do what ye will.

Re: Guadelcanal Campaign Stats
For the Sinking of the Japanese carrier in his third mission, Ensign Nellip is to assume the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade and Receive the USN Legion of Merit. Congratulations, More awards when I get the Logs.
