Red and blue high level briefs for Sunday's mission:

Red

September 1944 - allied forces are rolling back Japanese invaders across the Pacific. Islands of strategic importance are being used as stepping stones to the Japanese mainland. However some small island groups are being overlooked. One such group is the Oii Yuu Islands (also known as the Unfriendly Islands due to the attitude of the natives).

US commanders have recently become concerned that these islands could provide a means for Japanese forces to attack extended allied supply lines and so a USMC task force has been despatched to assault and capture them.

Blue

September 1944 - Imperial forces have suffered a series of losses in recent months, but we have made them pay dearly for every yard of ground.

Here on the Oii Yuu Islands we have yet to be attacked by the Yankees but that cannot last and an invasion may be imminent.

1st mission will have Corsairs and a couple of Hellcats for red, blue gets Ki61's.

The numbers and types vary in each of the three missions written so far - red only get Hellcats and Corsairs, but in the first mission there are 8 Corsairs and 2 Hellcats, in the second and third there are 6 Corsairs and 4 Hellcats. Blue get a real mixed bag - Ki61's, Ki84's, A6M5's etc. And thats before we start with the kamikazes...................

So not sure a post to book your ride is possible - just get there early and speak nicely to the host :D
