Re: Armed Assault
I'm definitely interested in this game. The large map size 400 km^2 and 10km view distances sounds like it can lead to more realistic vehicle play. I know the flight and vehicle models are still simpler than a dedicated sim, but I'd like to know how good are they. How good is ground to air? How good is air to air combat, how much does e-management apply? On the ground front I'm particularly interested in their tanks, how realistic is the modeling there how much control do you have ? I plan on trying the demo if I like it I'll definitely try the real deal .

Images from the Armed assault campaign.
slaughter, caught them fleeing the base.
same view, only from drivers seat.
using Trackir to look around when sighting down the rifle.
defending the roadblock.
It takes getting used to, but well worth it.

Okay,
so it's out and I could get it from GoGamer now, but in May a US release will include extra stuff like the A-10. So, can I get Arma now and upgrade the extras in May? If I wait 'til May, will the old ArmA be compatible with the US game?
Dumb questions I know, but my game allowance this month is low and I can't screw this up.
thanks,
Falcon
