Best of luck. My wife smokes but I quit 4 years ago. She still hates me to this day because I am one of those "wake up one day and quit" people. After being a 2+ pack a day smoker for over 5 years I just said goodbye to them one morning and never smoked again. I do however enjoy the taste of a fine cigar on occasion.

I smoke when I drink. Which is at least twice a week, would like to quit but its tough.
Maybe the smoking ban that kicks in in the North here at the end of April might have the desired effect..

Instead of of taking a cig, just order the wife to go get you another Guinnes, same effect
