A four string is the only true answer to question 1. A four string demands more from a player than a five string. You need to play faster to get that extra note in
A. 2
Ask Barney McKenna how many pints he can drink before failing to play his banjo and you'll be close to the illegal limit for flight sims

drink that much that your 5 string banjo will have 50 string, than don't stop! drink more, after another ones it should look a bit like joy-stick, you will even feel some throttle... after some time you will get the turbulences , the horizon will start to fall, then you would reach 8g and pass out...

I bought a four string tenor banjo on Sunday, and if it doesn't arrive tommorow i shall try playing my tinwhistle witha plectrum...
And i just found out how to get around the "drinking too much beer" problem.
Drink cider instead!
