My
MicroSoft Force FeedBack 2 has lasted through four computers and it's still goin' strong. It's still one of the best ... if you can find one.
Oh look ... there's one at Amazon for $60!

They seem to have fallen off here lately, but I have been a loyal customer to Thrustmaster. Used to have the FCS, WCS MkII, and rudders, they were serial I believe, went the way of the dodo. Tried selling them, and couldn't find a taker ended up giving to a friend of a friend who is a simmer.
Today I use the Thrustmaster Top Gun Fox 2, nothing fancy, but it's got the throttle and twisty stick, a bit lacking in button selection (3), but hey just makes it more realistic when I have to reach for a button and not just click it on my HOTAS, plus it's a great excuse when you are constantly hosed by the adversary. Was only $30 and has lasted for several years. Good quality and it still feels tight after years of use.
