I finally was able to instal PF... In case some of you are thinking of upgrading your OS to x64, here´s a little tip:

There are two "program files" folders in x64... The other one is plain old "program files", and the other one is "program files (x86)"... Now i dont know what that (x86)-thingy is for... Some programs will be installed over there and some in "program files"...

Anyway, IL-2 was installed in the "C:\program files". But for some reason FB+AEP+PF, were installed to "C:\program files (x86)".

When i was applying the patches, i didn´t check the installation path of them, i just installed it, just like i did on 32bit windows...

Here´s the catch; All patches have default installation path to the plain "C:\program files"-folder, not into to (x86)-folder, where all the games are installed...

This took me two complete reinstallations to figure out :?

So il2fb 4.04 and 4.05 are now installed... Now i have this problem of HL not finding the .exe file... Any suggestions? i tried this path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Copy Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik forgotten battles\il2fb.exe

Do you guys see any mistake in it? cuz i dont... That "Copy Ubi Soft" is for my 4.05 installation...

I dont have boontyfied 4.05, my version has that crap removed...

I figured it out already... Well, actually i didn´t figure it out. It still gave me the error but when i started the HL again, it started working... Go figure...

Now i just have to figure out, why isn´t the game responding to my joystick..

FFS, My joystick really doesnt work....

I´ve tried different usb-ports, i´ve rebooted my computer every time after i´ve changed the port... I even tried to install somekind of drivers from microsoft website, but the driver wouldn´t install.. I guess it has a 16bit installer...

I also tried that windows "add new hardware" or something like that-thingy.

But i never installed any drivers to my old computer, and it worked :?:

My Joystick is Microsoft sidewinder precision pro... Any ideas?

XP side- does DX Diag throw any light on it?

IL2 side - look at [joystick] in conf.ini

does other USB kit check out?

I would check out controls in XP to see if there is some other USB device that is first on the controller list. Also, are there not XP64 drivers for the joystick, because if there aren't any, you might be SOL.

This is the latest driver I could find: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/53226" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It is my humble opinion that a new joystick is in your future.

Yes, it had "[rts_joystick]"... And every other Usb-device works just fine...

There´s not much, i can say about that dxdiag report... :?

OK, i solved my problem by buying a new joystick... And i hate it... It´s a logitech extreme 3d pro...

After playing for a while, my elbow started to ache, because you really have to use force, to handle that stick... How stupid is that...

And the hat switch makes this annoying "clik clik"-sound... This baby is going back to the store...

Well, at least now i know it was a hardware issue, not a software...

Oh man, i´m so sitting duck over there, with this new joystick...

Also, i noticed that it´s impossible to fly certain planetypes anymore without using trim... I never bothered with trim, when i used my old joystick.. everything worked fine... :?
