Its a real Shame no-one uses it anymore - cause as Fenian Says, it is a very nice langauge - for example if I wanted to say,
"Running Fast", the Irish Translation would be: "Ag Rith ar nos na Ghaoithe" - literally it means - running like the wind.
Once the majority of Students finish Secondary school, very few people ever speak it again. I'll soon be starting Speaking it again (after 4 - 5 years) with the new job so I look forward. Will also need to start re-l;earning french again - I love that langauge

well all i want to say is slishne is the kewlest word in irish i recon, the translation to english would be "slices" as in slices of bread

Falcon, i believe your name directly translated into Irish would be :FI: Seabhac (pronounced Showack)
Not a bad attempt at the 'ole irish for a man from New Orleans
