I went thru TigerDirect for my lastest upgrade. I spent around $600 and got into an AMD Athlon 64 ASUS mobo with a 2000hz FSB, 1G of PC3200 RAM, and an Athlon 64 3400+ CPU. The same board will take the Athlon 64 FX-55 CPU once I can afford one
The only thing I regret is that the mobo will not support PCIe vid. Oh well. Everything else is upgradeable for RAM and faster CPUs for a while yet, which is one of the things I look for. Anyone know where I can get a 256meg Radeon 9800 All-In-Wonder for a decent price?
