This is my first official post on your forum as a new member, and I know there will be many more in the weeks, months and hopefully years to come...
Been flying for about 3 weeks now and am completely "blow away" by this awe inspiring and realistic sim. I am 34 and with my Mother being Irish and my Father being East German I guess I'll leave it up to you folks to find a suitable avatar and nickname for me.
Oh and by the way, as mentioned in my application as an Air Cadet in the Fighting Irish Squadron - I fly with my teddy bear called TEDDY, who at the present moment in time (21:48) is passed out in his hammock amongst empty tequila bottles - (a slight mumble and drawn out whistle can be heard over my shoulder...) so unfortunately TEDDY can not say a few words this evening, but will in due course.
As TEDDY always says, "Watch your 12 o' clock for you might have one of my fingers up your left nostril".
Regards to all, big and small, short and tall.
Zee & TEDDY
Hi, Zee!
Welcome aboard this BB! Enjoy your time here and find out who we are and how we usually handle (the) things ... contribute this BB with your thoughts and ideas and meet us online to have a common sortie.
Maybe you´ve already noticed that we don´t have any rank system in our squad - we´re all equal when it comes to flying ... but of course you can call yourself an Air Cadet ...
Nonetheless, meet us next Sunday on Snoop´s server at roundabout 1930 GMT for a lovely pint of stout ....
Cheers!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome, I feel at home already... (TEDDY shouts Cheers from his hammock...)
As for :FI:Dutchman you are spot on with the language translation - jy is heel te mal korrek met jou vertaling - jy het somer die spyker op sy kop geslaan.
If I may ask a silly question, :FI:Genosse could you supply me with the server address and the TS server password, I have looked high and low and did not locate any such info in the forums - a PM will suffice is you can old bean...
Unfortunately I do not use Hyperlobby, but rather All Seeing Eye and the latter does not seem to locate your server.
:FI:Heloego how about Irish = beer and too much thereof = lost and German = sausage and great planes (IMHO) so we have the Lost Flying Sausage... I imagine a pic of a Frankfurter with little wings similar to the wings on Asterix's helmet. Maybe just Lost Sausage (with wings).
Anyone seen my NOODLE?

Hi there :FI:Dutchman
jy is heel te mal korrek met jou vertaling - jy het somer die spyker op sy kop geslaan.
Translates to...
You are quite/completely(heel te mal) correct/right (korrek) with your translation - you just (sommer) hit the nail (spyker) on its head (kop).
somer means Summer, the spelling should have been sommer which translates to: for no particular reason, just, merely, without further ado.
For those interested...
