This may help you multiple skin-gasm types or you may use a better method. Let us know.
Here I am ready to make ANOTHER 46 skins. On one layer I have all the numbers and names I need. I call it my worksheet or jig layer.

To minimize confusion I make things as simple as possible.
The name layer and the number layer may be combined if they are the same opacity or put on two separate layers if opacity is not the same.
Therefore, I am using only two or three layers of my template.
I cut the names or numbers from the worksheet, paste them on the appropriate layer exactly where all the others are. When I have finished, I turn off the worksheet, check my work and then proceed to BRIGHT or whatever you use.
This is the fastest and most accurate method I have found. On a good day, with an easy skin, I can do a pilot's skin every two-three minutes.

Guess great minds think alike, I had essentially the same set-up for the HE skins, but I was a minute or two slower per skin, but it is a great idea. Now to implement it. Unfortunately I need to earn a paycheck so the mini-me's can eat. Hopefully work will lighten up shortly and I can get back to skinning. Lousy clients and their requests.

Yeah, but on a not-so-easy skin it may go to 10 minutes plus!
Gah!

Brilliant, Snap!
Keep the tri-coloured airbrakes - they really look über!
BTW, I think I´ve almost found the final version of the MC205 III. Maybe it should look a bit more used but it´s nearly done ...

Whaddya think?

Since Gurb has the lowest squadron number,

I start with his skin first.
Don't worry ...
by the time I get to Tactical S
I have most of the kinks worked out.
