Ok I have a question.

Does this new 700+mb download mean I can get rid of my UI 1.2 installed IL2 folder? As I'll have all the stuff of UI 1.2 and HSFX 4.0 eye Candy, in this new super patch, right?

Yes. It has all of the content of UI1.2 and more, and runs much more smoothly. The only difference might be if you have some very recent mods, which were not included in 1.2 anyways.
HSFX4.1 does not include a mods folder, in fact it will delete the mods folder from your HSFX4 installation, but if you have some effects mod that you absolutely cannot do without, you can always put it into your JSGME folder and install it using that.

Do i need to move anything in the HSFX4 modded il2 ,can i install HSFX4.1 over this?

i've just installed it over my copy of HSFX4 and it seems to be working fine so if we are running it tonight I should be ok

I installed 4.0 and 4.1 ad when I start the game the loading screen is in russian and the whole thing crashes to desktop once it gets to the main menu. What did I do wrong?

Did you install over a modded version or straight 4.09m?

Maybe a corrupt download. If you used torrent try the hash checker.

right, so I'm fiddling around with the mission we took a swipe at on Friday, I'm moving the way points to the base south of Seoul, hit save/play whatever the feck, and nothing. there it sits, like a lump on the arse of progress. There is nothing I've done between this last Friday and this afternoon to warrant this display of petulance on the games behalf. Mind you, it is only an KTO type thingy, everything else is solid, well, as 'solid' as HE gets thesedays, but it is at least predictable. It seems the map itslf has packed it in, in the FMB anyway. You could have build a fabulous mission, the like of which none have seen, at least not round here...and hit fly/save, whatever the feck it was and...and....

My Korean maps may have snuffed it in the FMB, for some vague reason.
