RIght, I've been on war-clouds and started the 4.09b1m patch download....
....I'm afraid that there will be a lot of others downloads lol. Can anybody tell me what else I need?

Then go to www.allaircraftarcade.com register and grab the download..
I suggest, copying your game to another folder or drive then installing the mods.. Takes up more room but at least you won't ruin your game if something goes awry.
I usually join our server from the IP address since we run the modded version. I use H/L for the other stuff.

Tell us if you need help with installation of the mods.
Like Willie said, there is a new version of the "unified installer".
So I would give it a shot and put the unified installer over a clean installation of the game.
Otherwise a step by step installation o f the mods, with testing after eacht installed mod is very helpful.
We know it's confusing sometime but at least we all worked it out and are happy with the results.
Feel free to ask if you're unsure about something.
Or try to find someone in the Teamspeak channel who might help you.

Wildcat do two clean installs
One in a seperate area so that you can mod it up and still have a clean copy. I have two drives on my machine and three installs one clean one IE:4.08m, one with our current modded version of 4.09b1m and a new one ready for the new unified installer when AAA get their act together and the downloads work LOL

Working on the Unified Installer now that I've finally been able to register on AAA - net going down and a few issues with AoHell emails. Hopefully that works.
Genosse has sent me a PM with some details in too in case the UI doesn't work. I'll get there eventually!

After many unsuccessful attempts of getting all the parts of AAA's unified installed downloaded (1-5 done fine, 6 keeps dropping out), Genosse has given me guidence and I am now up to 4.09b1m...

Definately worth it, if only to listen to the banter and end up getting shot down because I was laughing to much....
I haven't played enough of either version to figure out the differences since I only played a little before trying to patch it
