runway code??
runway code??
When first turning on your engines and approaching the runway should you always turn left or right onto it? I never know which direction I should be taking off from to avoid others that are coming into land.

Sparrow,
I commend you for asking ... but don't worry. I've been trying to get this mangy herd o'cats to use some standard ground ops/departure/approach procedures for over six years.
All you need to know is that on co-ops you usually start off in line. Cank your ride slightly to windward, ok, to the right, so that you can see in front of you. Take off when you're clear in front and follow your Lead's departure instructions, if any.
In df's; take off. If you crash into someone, respawn, take off again.
When returning to the field, damaged ac land first, Lead lands last.

I'm Left-Handed, so I recommend all patterns be counter-clockwise.
