X-box prolly doesnt require this "logging into a phuckin server just to play a game" option. but i had these games installed on my older machine before that one went balls up. The graphics and game play are outta this world.
Last Christmas I was going to pick up a HL2 bundle (it came with both expansions/episodes). I didn't because of it requiring Steam. You're right consoles won't require Steam.

Dan was scared? Now I'm scared. Playing this on the big screen HDTV with surround sound shouldn't make it anymore scary, right?

I better turn down the sound methinks.

I recently played Halo 3. Apparently I wasn't alone. It outsold ANY entertainment related release in North America for its first day. And yes the game, like Halo & Halo 2, are over hyped to the max. Notwithstanding, I did find enjoyment in the solo campaign. Very doubtful I will ever go online with this game however. My son is enjoying this fantasy fps online with his friends.
Downloaded Bioshock's demo and was really impressed with the presentation but not my cup of tea.
Been messing around with EA's NHL 08.
Some interesting titles coming this fall. That's Assassin’s Creed looks interesting. It's for the PC too I believe. The Crusade period is cool. Lots of folks excited about the next Call of Duty title.
