IExplorer is dead - long live firefox

Post by :FI:Sneaky_Russian » Thu Aug 23, 2007 12:25 pm

IExplorer died last night, and though it will not be greatly missed, I'd still like to know why.

I did a full virus scan prior to the event, updated Firefox and Yahoo messenger and then nothing but error messages "explorer needs to close etc.."

Well I tried reinstalling but WGA blocked my OEM XP. Tried the Explorer repair function in "Registry Easy" and ran a full adware scan with Adaware.
I've run AWC too but not yet found a fix.

Luckily I was able to import all my bookmarks into Firefox.

Opera is a good freeware browser too. I've been ignoring Internet Exploder for years now.

Yeah, me too. Firefox is much more stable than IE, which has more security holes than a P-400 after a Zero dogfight.
