A beautifully-made movie
I just sat and absorbed a movie called 'The New World'. About Pocahontas' life. Don't worry this is not a Disney movie but an excellent, profound and moving film. Pocahontas was portrayed by a 16-year-old actress from Germany named Q'Orianka Kilcher (she has an Inca background and is cousin to Jewel). And she was brilliant. The movie is slow but I took little notice as I sat glued to the movie right up to the end. I highly recommend it and think I'm going out to buy it. Oh, it has a love story in it but believe me it's not the Hollywood mushy stuff. In fact it's quite innocent.

"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed."

Thumper...
...was her boyfriend, if I remember my US History.
His presence was so profound that it gave rise to the phrase "Threw her a Thump" so commonly used by some Easterners.
