:FI: Book Review: 'In Harm's Way'

If you remember the 70's movie 'Jaws', you may recall Robert Shaw's memorable monologue about the USS Indiannapolis and the horrendous carnage that ensued after a Japanese sub (I-58) attacked and sunk her July 30th, 1945. Ironically it was R. Shaw's last movie, but I still recommend the book if anyone feels like playing a few Pacific fighter missions. Did Oleg and the boys ever render a Whitetip? cheerz.

Actually I saw the TV movie about that incident. They had just finished delivering the Atomic Bomb when the Japanese sub sunk the ship. They hung the captain out to dry in the end. Which was unjust. Horrible way to die though getting picked off by hundreds of sharks.
