WARNING! possible obscure (and bad) joke alert!

If the Germans start losing the game,

will one of the German players go up the the coach and say,

"Give us British Knights."?

"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed."

There's not been much of an issue the last few times they have met up in the European Cup and the World Cup finals.

The article refers to Germans and Poles. I don't think you can infer that there would subsequently be an issue between Germans and English supporters.

from the BBC web site

"While "disappointing", he said the fans' behaviour did not constitute "football violence" or "mass disorder".

"Rather than stand there all night with abusive and drunken people, it was decided arrests should be made," he said.
No known troublemakers were among the mostly "preventative arrests.
Preventative arrests :? :?
