Google Video - WW2

Post by :FI:Moog » Mon Dec 12, 2005 1:48 am

Check out http://video.google.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and type ww2 in the search box. Some pretty amazing footage including a lot of guncam stuff. I've just watched a Ju-52 being attacked in mid-air while it was flying about five feet off the ground

(should probably be called 'low-air' then)

PS: You can change the video size and turn up the quality by clicking on the little down arrow in the bottom-right-hand corner of the window

PPS: Holy crap! They have a video of the .50-cal from P-38 'Glacier Girl' being test-fired near the site of its recovery. Granted they only fire at an empty oil drum but you really get an impression of the gun's power...
"Can that thing fire?"

Lots of aviation stuff there, found some b25's, formation flying and airshows - spent a good hour there and barely touched the surface.
