Actually been playing BF2 a fair amount these last couple of weeks since we picked it up. Pretty much every evening for @ 2 hours or so. Would absolutely love to play with you guys, but as you know your prime gaming time is my supper hour and kids' homework. Hopefully, though, I'll have another chance this weekend (Sunday) if you chaps want to play.

Been playing the Special Ops almost each mission for a bit. I love all the sneakiness of getting into the enemy's backyard to blow up their artillery and stuff. Then I wait for their engineer and kill him too! Man Snoop you we really need to play this game again like we enjoyed BF1942. I personally find there is just enough tactical depth to keep my interest, well for now at least.
I started playing my other gamer tag thinking my K/D would at least be better than with my first virtual soldier. I was wrong. However, I did manage to get 4 awards on Saturday. One of them was for my flying. Haven't gotten any ribbons or badges - I guess you have to be actually good to get these?

Was great considering we had never played as a squad.
If we could practice we would be better.
I found myself thinking, but not saying, which is a habit to get out of ,I mean things like "watch that guy behind you dutch" you tend to think to yourself but when you have TS you need to say,not just think.
Spawning in vehicles was cool.
Spit was vg at driving the helo.
Thanks guys

Hmmm, i really love playing sniper, but since it´s not the best character when playing as a team, maybe i should try the assault... or better yet, a medic.... i have always wanted to see what happens if you use those defibrallators against alive and well enemy

Well let's be brutally honest mate. WBC3 is yesterday's game get on with the NEW program. BOBII I think will be good in certain areas once patched, but come on you can't fly with other mates so what real value are those kills? I mean if no one sees them do they really count? You know, like that tree falling in the forest thingy. And yes I am being unfair to get a fellow North American into BF2.:FI:Snoop Baron wrote:Man this thread is tempting me But now that I'm working as a modder for WBC3 and BOBII has just come in I'm not sure I'd have the time to get my moneys worth!

In all seriousness, I think you would find BF2 a definite improvement in tactical gameplay from BF1942, which of course was very good for its time. Why not download the demo and give it a whirl Snoop? Nothing to lose except for some hard disk space, right mate?

For practice we could also launch a LAN map with no AI. This would allow the group to try various kits, go over tactics, try out various vehicles, and so forth. Re-spawn time could be 0, and of course then we could try out 32/64 player maps also.:FI:Finbar1 wrote:Was great considering we had never played as a squad.

My medals - "Best New Noob" Dead or Dying and "Look Boys New Meat" Delicious or Hungry
Watch out for the purple heart too... even though it´s a medal, it´s not a good thing to have.... maximum of 5 kills and at least 20 deaths on one round

While Finbar1 is out of action for a couple of days, let's all learn lots of new tactics so we can be ready for his return.
Something I don't do enough (well, hardly ever) is throw my "packs" around areas for fellow squad mates to use. Here are some tips I read today over at Total Battlefield 2 -
"As a medic before you enter a jeep throw a medkit in the seat, you'll last longer if someone tries to shoot you out of it. May also benefit teammates riding with you."
Here's another -
"If you're an engineer and up high somewhere, it sometimes pays of dropping an AT mine on top of a passing tank. Even if they drive carefully they usually don't anticipate on an AT mine dropping from the sky. You can also throw these from a transport helicopter."
