What the guy did was stupid. He didn't deserve to die for being stupid, but stupidity caused his demise.

As for the police taking him down? I can see their side very clearly. He looked suspicious and he ran. All they knew was that he could have had a bomb. I bet the officer was thinking that if the guy got far enough away he could detonate the device. Five rounds stopped that possibility.

The picture the media showed over here was that of a young man with a back pack.

It is sad that young man lost his life for nothing other than stupidy. I bet the poor guy that capped him will carry that memory with him until he dies. He did the right thing under the circumstances but it was still the wrong thing. That is a bitter pill to swallow.

Well put mate.

My condolences not only to the family of the dead man but to the officer who shot him and his family.

I'm sure he will feel just as bad , if not worse.

Yup.... Sometimes police have to make split-second decisions... And after he´s made that decision, the media has all the time the in the world, to figure out what went wrong....

I would have done the same thing.... I feel bad about the poor bastard who got killed, but acting like that, beeing suspicious, not stopping when police ordered him to, and all that...

he had it coming... :?
