Post by Finbar1 » Fri Apr 01, 2005 1:36 pm

Unless you want to spend eight straight hours on one mission, and thats with time compression.
This is a highly immersive easily accesible, sim with very few glitches, all for £19.
Its very addictive,beware.

i can second that.
may cause troubles due to starforce copy-protection.
wife got upset when suddenly the cf-card reader was gone
(and refuses to install after the starforce setup).

Interested in this game, but not interested in buying a separate DVD drive. I have a combo DVD/CD-RW drive that works great and has installed several DVD games fine in the past.

How big of a problem is this Cider? And you say 8 hours, but you would have just slept during that time, right? ;)

Tact - "I have too many games now but . . ." - S!

Yeah! Can you tell the program to wake you up if it finds a target?

tactical, there have been huge problems with installing sh3 on some machines and no troubles at all on others. over at the ubi-forum
(here)
you can find lots of posts of very angry customers (and solutions for some problems). my problem occured after installing the game: the starforce copy protection refused to accept the (correct entered) cd-key.there seem to be some issues with different dvd-drives. solution was a email to the starforce supoort team. the mailed a new cd-key (after 5 minutes!!!) and now the game runs ok.
there`s a no-cd exe available somewhere (for version 1.1), current pachtversion is 1.2 (i'm still with 1.1).
there's also a starforce removal-tool (and i will use it when there's a no-cd for version 1.2) which i would highly recomend to use (the compact-flash card reades is still not working, every attempt installing it ends wiht a reboot).
i also read at the forums that some dvd-drives refuse to read cd's after starforce installation (maybe a hoax).

but the game is fine :D .

It seems with many games the anti piracy protection causes more problems for genuine customers than prevention of piracy.

Have full realism and tend to be cautious when around destroyers as I dont want to end career, thus I go slow and silent, and that takes time .I use time compression on the transit phase, albeit the crew /sleep issue tends to be a bit difficult,am on patrol number 13,out of Lorient,1941.

Please stop talking about this amazing game. I don't have the time to play it, I know I don't. And yet my willpower is fading. The darkside is indeed powerful. Please stop it mates! [-o< ;)
