Accessing the Collector Planes

Larry, TIm and I had a good time last night with BoS, but discovered I cannot access the P-40 or La-5 Collector Planes I purchased through Steam, even though they show up in the plane lists at the bases. They are shown but not available.
Larry says if purchased through the Il-2 website an activation code is needed, but since I purchased them through Steam no activation code(s) was/were included. Steam shows them as installed, though.
Anyone have this experience? If so did you solve it, and how?
Of course, any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if this will work. But I've picked up this ...

on steam, right klick on il2 sturmovik, and choose the 3rd entry "game keys

from here or this

You have to copy CD key in Steam (library - right click on IL2 game - view CD key), copy key of Plane and activate it in your IL-2 sturmovik Homepage account

from here ...
