Hi m8s,
After five long years I've finally revealed Hunternet to the public and launched the website and alpha teaser trailer

! Any tweeting, status updating it, rain dances, etc that will help spread the word is appreciated

You can learn more about the game at these sites:
Website:
http://www.cpudreams.com
Trailer:

Hunternet actually supports more players than any other MMOFPS out there, imagine how crazy it will be to take part in 700 player battles

. The mechanics are unlike any other shooter and are in part inspired by IL-2

. It's a challenging game and deep game that will leave you feeling like a newbie again

Great progress so far Snoop, congratulations!
The aesthetic is fantastic. How difficult is it to program on acid?!

After I've made a few more videos and written more articles I will start getting ready for some sort of early access program

Thanks wingman
I've updated the website and launched Hunternet's new forum:
https://cpudreams.forums.net/
Here is a partial feature list from the updated site:
- Designed to beat the Indie Multiplayer Curse
- Zero luck, 100% skill based, no leveling, everyone is on equal footing
- Fifteen unique player abilities with minimum overlap, instead of many variations of the same thing
- Fast and varied movement mechanics, separate from abilities
- Challenging shooting, no hit scan, simulated projectiles with momentum, aiming requires leading your target
- Larger single battles than any other MMOFPS with no view limits
- Form and dissolve teams on the battlefield
- Choose your approach, large teams are not guaranteed an advantage
- Use stealth, team deception, and indirect abilities to outsmart your competition
- AI mobs integrated into PvP for your strategic use
- 150 avatars to choose from with plans for a Mii like creator
- No graphic violence allows players of all ages to play together
- Friendly fire demands caution, no spray and pray
- One big party & no waiting, not isolated by matchmaking
- Not a release and forget game, but a life long hobby
- Not "free-to-play" and no subscriptions
- Stable client & low system requirements for hassle free play
- Many more surprises and features to be revealed

I just added TrackIR support to the game this week and I thought I'd post a video of it here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6RfOyYhW9w
I'm using TrackIR for some PvE at the beginning of the video, the later PvP clips are from this weeks play test, and I didn't have TrackIR on due to lack of USB ports (got a USB hub coming in the mail).
Out of my regular play testers I'm the only one with TrackIR so if any of you would like to try it and send me some feedback let me know

I made another short clip from last weeks play test. This one shows off using the shrimp ability combined with smash to avoid damage while getting in close for a melee attack. There is also a little shot of the top down view in the satellite stance at the end of the clip. I just finished introducing persistent ranks and some basic stats. Next up is one last AI update and I'm done as far as gameplay changes go until Greenlight. Still have plenty of graphic, FX, and level work to do.

Thanks Moog! I'm glad you liked it

It's been coming along nicely. We had a really fun play test this week. Last week was all about close quarters combat in those sci-fi tunnels. This week we played in a large open area so it was almost all air to air. It took a lot of play testing but now the game plays really well at all distances and gives the players a lot of freedom in their tactics

It's still deep but now it's much more approachable than before. I didn't record the last play test or I'd upload another clip for you all. I was to focused on trying to get the most bounty so I didn't record

Thanks Armitage! I'll make sure to record this Thursday

. I've finally finished all game play changes that I had planned to do before my greenlight campaign. All I have left (programming wise) is security, admin, & server browser improvements.
As part of the marketing I'll be making new official videos and I'll be sure to post those here. I think the first one I'll do is going to be called Movement in Hunternet.
