Re: Cerberus Mission sat 4th 2014
Sorry jojo
I have to count myself out of this war.
A few reasons but the main reason, this is a fairly large and complex war that requires dedicated pilots. I can't say for sure I'd turn up all the time and to be honest, it's all a bit over my head! The online wars I've done in the past are fairly simple and that suits me(fairly simple!)
This is for serious pilots who want to get a real feel for what a war would actually be like, spending hours with the possibility of seeing nothing. Unfortunately that's not what I'm looking for in il2, I like a bit of action
It's unfortunate the game is slowing down finding players won't be easy. Any idea why the guys don't use HL? at the moment it's kind of an "Exclusive club!" If other people can't see whats going on you could be mission out on some good pilots that would like this challenge.
Hope you have fun m8.

Re: Cerberus Mission sat 4th 2014
Hello Mike!
Thanks for this explanation, I can understand it. Indeed it can be frustrating to stare into darkness in night missions wondering why you are doing that
while you could have fun doing something else haha but, in the end I can only say that I LOVE IT ! This was the second mission I crashed on the runway (out of 4)
and there will be no restarts. Then you realize..was it worth the hours of planning and developing strategy, talking to Charlie and CountZero how and what we should plan?
And again I conclude: yes, it is worthed. Taking over Radar Control after I crashed was rewarding. I could direct Jumper and RedDevil to their target AND we found the fleet
But hey, that's how I feel about it and again: I respect your view on SEOW of course..and that you let me know is prima-de-luxe !
Why HL is not used...well I don't know. It was used for previous SEOW campaigns. And I know their website is used to announce almost everything. But hey, you
might be right. Using HL could attract new blood. I will have a chat about that with JG26.
Hope it's OK though me posting here to inform some of you.
That said, here's the link for the results of mission 7:
http://71.88.61.228/SEOW/MP4public/Stat ... 120300.mis
It was another exciting one, especially for finding the fleet finally. GenOsse and Blue managed to sink a Nioble Cruiser..Good Job !
In other words, they Gadjied that one!

Re: Cerberus Mission sat 4th 2014
Hey, Jos!
That was interesting but awful long mission to fly for me. Although I was able to find and damage the Niobe cruiser (I didn't see the explosions on it though). It took almost 30-45 mins to get there and I was already running out of "kitchen" time (thank you for this new word describing the pressure giving to me from "her inside"). Anyhow, I enjoyed it yet I'm afraid that I might be able to attend to the Saturday sessions only ... as long as I do have some "kitchen" time left ...
Cheers, Jos!

Heya Frank!
Glad you and Blue show up each time you can!
And yes, that "kitchen time"... it saves me every time from being not allowed to fly
Don't worry, not everyone will be able to fly every mission..that's simply impossible.
But I am very pleased that you show up on Saturdays, I really am.
Goes for Larry idem of course!
OK, for tonight: massive flights on the ships in 2 or 3 layers....we have 10 or so escort planes to protect the bombers!
There will be a ton to do!

Referring to Mike's post:
Tonight would be a mission you might like!
Need no planning, or other time consuming stuff.
Just hop in that Spit or P40 and give our heavies protection. There's a lot for you to shoot at!
Take Rambo along !
