Re: Debrief Mission 1 Cerberus
Brief MISSION 2 by CHARLIE:
========================
15.00 Hours.
Quite a straightforward little mission planned:-
----------------------------------
1 Anson is searching the sea near Brest.
Another Mustang-RU is planned to overfly St Nazaire and take photo's as it returns back up the Coast.
1 Anson is photographing Cherbourg.
Players can take any of these, each is interesting in its own way
------------------------------
Special Mission:-
1 Anson is dropping an SOE agent on the Point of the Cape just to the West of Brest.
Make sure that the drop altitude (toggle Wingtip smoke) is between 900 -1500m
Try to time the drop for the confusion of the Wellington Raid.
(the ai should do this fine but somebody may be interested in flying it ?)
---------------------------------
However there are really two core operations planned tonight:-
i) The Anson to Cherbourg is escorted by 2 Spitfires of 302nd Poznan Sqn. This is really just a 'feint'. It would be ideal if at minimum a player leads the Spitfire flight so that they can lead anything Axis a merry dance, keep them tied up burning fuel and in the East.
ii) 6 Wellingtons are Tasked with Bombing Targets around Brest harbour.
We saw a flotilla of small ships anchored to the South of the Harbour last mission..and failing that there is an Industrial area (Production) and also fuel silo's. Players in the lead planes of each flight would be good as then they can make decisions about which target is the best to go for depending upon circumstances when they get there.
These are Escorted by 6 Spitfires of 310 Sqn (Chzech). Again it will be ideal if players are in the lead planes because this is right on the edge of operational range and it will be good to be able to change plans as the situation develops.
Good Luck
