I had a few v.fun co-ops with you guys in October and November, but then work really picked up and other stuff, and all of a sudden another weekend went by without flying , I should have apologised for my absence before - but tempus fugit and all that.

Though I haven't had much flying for the last couple of days, Blue Screens - Zilions of them, well quite a few, but I've installed the latest chipset drivers and that seems to have done it, fingers crossed.

Off line in the 4.091bm, when I go to create a campaign all the ranks and name of the campaign etc is in Russian, is it meant to be like that? Anyways can it be changed to English?

My non expert opinion is go for the E8600, IL-2 doesn't really benefit from quad cores, and the E8600 if you look at the forums is capable of some serious overclocks on just air cooling. If you buy a quad core now, by the time IL-2's successor comes out you will be on a Nehalem cpu any way. My 2 pen...

I though manipulating what I now know is the batch files was the way to do it, but I found the actual switcher after reading the read me in the root of the 1946 folder.
