Re: Greeting and Salivations

LOL....well, the older I get the process takes longer, ,but persistence pays off. I would say I am roughly half way done. The frame is built, roofed, and sealed, all the work lately is interior. Our bedroom is almost complete and should be sleeping in a real bed this weekend. All electrical an...

Re: Old days

Wow, down to only around ten active pilots now? Do you guys still get together for the air shows? Use to love browsing the pics and wishing I could attend.

Greeting and Salivations

It's taken me almost an hour trying to remember my sign in information! Hello lads! Got the idea to look up you guys again, it's great you're still going. Hey, how do you change your password? Carving a cabin out of the north woods here slowly but surely. Internet here sucks! Been living in a 19 foo...

Re: Hi Guys

So you guys are still using good old IL 2 with HSFX? So the new Battle of Britian version (Cliffs of Dover?) never really replaced it? That's good to know. Not familiar with War Thunder, but heard a lot of good things about BF 4, other than I would need a new outer to run it. I think the last game I...

Hi Guys

All those reports about my fading into the night have been grossly exaggerated....although not by much. Been making some major life changes. Moved to to a new town and state, new job, living out of a 19 foot travel trailer until we can find some acreage. Quite the challenge all in all. Love the fact...

Re: Hello Lads

My son and I just DL'd Heroes of Stalingrad. Vast improvement over Red Orchestra with the exception of there is not enough tanks. For $19.95 tho, a pretty good buy.

Re: Hello Lads

Ah life....yeah it can get in the way of the finer things. I am still working two jobs, full time at the medical center at night (which puts the kabosh on any sim flying during the week) and part time during the day at a local gun range/shop. Napoleon Total War and Empire Total War are the two games...

Hello Lads

Thought I'd drop in and give a hello. So what is the Irish up to these days? Fav games/sims? Still have Il-2 on my puter but I seldom play it anymore. Rise of Flight I just could never get in to for whatever reason. Since time is pretty limited anymore, I play what can be done quickly; some BF2, Men...

HDMI Quality?

Um, isn't HDMI supposed to be a higher quality than standard PC video? When I hook up the HDMI feature on my monitor (Sanyo LCD), it looks like crap. I messed around with the graphics settings some, but I must be missing something. :?

Re: IL2 Screen Resolutions

The Stab program worked out the best as one can input a custom screen resolution. Flew for the first time in better part of the year and did quite well. The bigger screen helps my gunnery quite a bit, LOL.!

maybe try il2 stab
Got it downloaded and will check it out. Does this file cause any conflicts with JSGME or HSFX?

Re: IL2 Screen Resolutions

CC lists a ton of settings. The tighter settings only mean the viewable area bleeds over the edges instead of fitting the screen. Haven't rally monkeyed with the refresh rates and such too much yet. Tried hooking up an HDMI cable and didn't like the results at all. Standard vid hook up was much bett...
